Terms of Service – Pellet Usage Monitor

By downloading or using Pellet Usage Monitor (“the App”), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

About the App

Pellet Usage Monitor is an iOS application that helps pellet boiler owners track fuel inventory, hopper refills, deliveries, service records, and provides estimates and notifications to support household fuel management.

Free and Pro Tiers

Free Tier

The App is free to download and includes core functionality such as tracking, analysis, notifications, and data export/import where available in the app.

Pro Upgrade

A one-time in-app purchase (“Pro”) unlocks household collaboration features, allowing multiple users to share a household’s pellet data.

In-App Purchases

  • Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store.
  • Pricing is shown in your local currency before you confirm purchase.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple’s policies. You can request a refund via Apple’s “Report a Problem” site.
  • You can restore purchases using the “Restore Purchases” option (if available in the App).

Your Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter.
  • The App’s predictions and alerts are estimates based on the information available.
  • You are responsible for maintaining sufficient fuel supply and safe operation of your heating system.

Disclaimer

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. We do not guarantee:

  • That predictions or estimates will be accurate
  • That notifications will always be delivered at a particular time
  • That the App will operate without interruption or error

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dragonfly Developments will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including (without limitation) missed notifications, incorrect estimates, or loss of data.

Intellectual Property

The App and its content are owned by Dragonfly Developments and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer the App except as permitted by law.

Household Sharing (Pro Feature)

If you create or join a household:

  • Household data is shared with invited members via Apple’s CloudKit.
  • Household members may have equal access to shared data and may be able to add/edit/delete shared records depending on the app’s role rules.
  • You are responsible for who you invite and for managing household membership.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the App if required to comply with law or to protect users and the service. You may stop using the App at any time.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts located in England and Wales will have jurisdiction over disputes, except where local law requires otherwise.

Apple’s Terms

Your use of the App is also subject to Apple’s terms, including Apple’s Standard EULA where applicable.
